A list of new beginnings.

So far the month of January has been great and full of new beginnings. I started a new job working at a school district in Sandy and I love it. I am doing literacy tests on sudents and just enjoy being in the schools. I can't wait to go back to school and get my degree so that I can be in the school full time. Troy is still working away at his masters degree and teaching.

But something that's new for both of us is our calling in church. We are now the Sunday School teachers for the Jr. High age kids. We think they gave us that calling because it's between the two ages that we enjoy. Troy is used to High school kids and I'm used to Elementary kids. This shall be an exciting adventure.  I'm excited to get to know the kids in our ward and to learn and grow with them.

As for a list of new beginnings.... We set goals one night for FHE and I'm excited to see how we will do this year. Here are few of mine....

1- Go to the Temple more often
2- Exercise 3 to 5 times a week
3- Read a book a month
4- Finish my craft projects
5- Do more service

Here are the costumes from Halloween. I was toothpaste and Troy was a Q-tip

Here is our 1st Christmas Tree and the lights we put on the house. We had a lot of fun decorating!

This is Christmas Day at the Caldwell's house (Troy's parents, not our house....)

Here are a few crafts that I did in December to add to our Christmas decorations for next year.

So very Blessed....

Well I never seem to keep up on this.. but I am going to try and do better... It's amazing how fast time flies. Troy and I were talking the other day about how long we have been together... if you include dating and engagment it has been seven months. We are also coming up on our three month mark. I know that's not very long compared to some, but I think it's a great milestone for my life and I have loved every minute of it.

As I have been pondering about what to write I have decided to mention that Troy and I are very blessed. We are blessed with a good home and food in our fridge. We are also blessed to have a steady income and good educations. We are in a good ward and are excited to serve where ever they put us.

We have wonderful families and friends that bring joy into our lives. We were blessed to be able to spend time with both families for the holidays. We went to Rexburg for Thanksgiving and Perry for Christmas. We were also able to spend some time in Rexburg after Christmas. We then spent a quiet evening at home for New Year, and even managed to set some goals.

Looking back over this last year with it's ups and downs I have come to see how much Heavenly Father plays a hand in my life. I'm so grateful to have met the most amazing man, and to have such supportive family and friends. I am excited to contiune my life's journey with Troy and to see what lies in store. Happy New Year Everyone!
